Galactic Wipeout

Galactic Wipeout is a 1-player arcade shooter for the BBC Micro.

It is the year 2200. The world is now diseased and over-populated. The only chance of survival is for the human race to move to a nearby galaxy, at present occupied by an evil force. A code 17 task has been assigned for a galactic wipeout.

The player controls a spaceship that can rotate 360 degrees, accelerate and fire directly forwards. Played from a top down perspective on a large field that scrolls and loops in all directions, the goal is to destroy all enemy vessels in a sector before proceeding to the next more difficult stage. All small map shows the player and enemy locations. The player starts with three lives, and gains a life every level cleared. When the player's ship is destroyed, all enemies currently on the screen are eradicated.
