Grounded 2

Description
Grounded 2 is a first-person survival game and the sequel to Grounded. Set in the oversized environment of Brookhollow Park, players are once again shrunk to insect size and must gather resources, craft tools, build shelters, and fight hostile creatures to survive. The game introduces a new Omni-Tool that replaces multiple harvesting tools with a single upgradeable device, streamlining resource collection. Players can also choose from customizable archetypes that influence combat style and progression, supported by an expanded gear and mutation system.
A major addition to the sequel is the introduction of "buggies"—mountable and trainable insects that assist with transportation, combat, and carrying materials. These companions include creatures like soldier ants and orb weavers, and can be directed in battle or used to improve efficiency during exploration. Movement through the environment is more fluid thanks to faster mounts and vertical traversal, helping players navigate the significantly larger map. Combat has been overhauled with dodging, blocking, charged attacks, and enemy AI that reacts more dynamically.
The game was launched in Early Access with an updated narrative structure with human characters offering missions and guidance, replacing the robotic quest-givers of the original game. A shadowy presence underpins the story, suggesting a larger mystery tied to the park and its inhabitants. As in the original game, there is cooperative gameplay for up to four players where you can play with friends online or join their shared world. The game also features cross-platform functionality.
