Keeper

Description
Keeper is a puzzle-platformer centered on a sentient lighthouse and its avian companion, Twig. After being awakened by the seabird’s arrival, the lighthouse sets out across a mythic island plagued by a spreading corruption. With no dialogue, the story unfolds through environmental cues and animation, depicting a wordless bond that deepens as the pair travel through strange biomes and ascend a looming mountain peak.
Gameplay combines light-based puzzle solving and gentle platforming. Players alternate between using the lighthouse's beam to manipulate the environment—growing vines, dispelling darkness, activating monuments—and directing Twig to interact with objects or access distant areas. Each new region introduces new mechanics, such as time-shifting and transformation sequences, that expand puzzle complexity without explicit tutorials. From a tight, linear experience, the game gradually opens up introducing new core gameplay mechanics and more freedom in a HUD-less world. The game uses painterly visuals and fixed cinematic camera angles.
