Kewala's Typing Adventure
Description
One day, the wise man of his koala tribe has a present for Kewala: a map which shows the way to a far away land. The best part: it is Kewala's inheritence! Of course he directly rides his Emu towards his new goal.
Kewala's Typing Adventure is an educational game which teaches touch typing. Each lesson, representing a step in Kewala's journey, introduces new letters and general advice like the correct posture. The majority of the time is spent with typing the given sentences. At first those are just letter combination to practice the already introduced parts, but later those evolve into complete words and sentences. After each lesson, the player is given a statistical analysis of the performance and the option to participate in a bonus challenge. Here the player has to type as fast as possible within a time limit. The game keeps track of the player's overall points. Besides doing well in the lessons and challenges, the game also rewards bonus points for feats like doing multiple lessons in a single day.
Besides the training adventure, there is also the Royal Challenge for players proficient with touch typing available. Here the player types short stories.
