Description
Microzine is an educational disk-based magazine published by Scholastic between 1983 and 1992. Each issue generally contains a simple adventure game, often with a Choose Your Own Adventure Style. Issue no. 19 contains: Letter from the Editor: preview of this volume of Microzine*
- Malice in Wonderland: A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style game with several additional puzzles and guessing games. The player is preparing to star in the school performance of Alice in Wonderland, when suddenly they are transported to Wonderland by the Jack of Spades. They discover the Queen of Hearts, aided by the Joker, has overtaken Wonderland, and imprisoned or transformed most of the residents. The player must explores the four realms of Wonderland, outsmart the Joker by completing logic puzzles, and restore the four Kings of the land. After completing this, the player can finally overthrow the Queen of Hearts, and save the people of Wonderland.
- Computer Stuff: data disk initiation
- Animation Lab: The player animates characters by moving and flexing their joints over several frames, and then replaying the action.
- Calendar: A program to track schedules and important dates
- Estimator: A game where the player is given a portion of a building or circle, and must attempt to manually display that amount.
