Description

Microzine is an educational disk-based magazine published by Scholastic between 1983 and 1992. Each issue generally contains a simple adventure game, often with a Choose Your Own Adventure Style. Issue no. 21 contains:* Robot Rescue - You are a Star Scout of the Star Seekers, accompanied by your robot friend and companion EZ-4u. EZ-4u is kidnapped by the evil scientist Pnowo Ledge and hidden beneath the surface of a hostile desert planet. The player must visit 4 different planets by navigating their rocketship in a short arcade sequence. The player can explore the surface of each planet from a top-down perspective, and speak with the inhabitants by typing in verbs or nouns. On the first 3 planets, the player must gather the resources needed to free defeat Pnowo Ledge, and then rescue their robot companion from Ledge's underground laboratory. The player is armed with a database and message tool, which provides important information on each planet and their inhabitants, necessary to solve the quest.
