Q-Warrior
Description
Q-Warrior is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20.
The warnings were there three years before. We had sent out regular star fighter squadrons to scout out the signals. They never returned. As they came nearer we learned more and more about the skills and tactics they used. Finally we built the Q ships, designed to meet the menace head on.
You are a pilot, a Q Warrior, whose ship can move and fire in 8 separate directions. Enemy forces steadily climb up the screen, and the player must blast them before they reach their goal. Three deadly laser beams positioned at the edges of the screen set up a crossfire, and the player loses a life if caught in the crossfire. Neutron torpedo launchers appear at the edge of the screen and fire on the player. The player also loses a life if they receive 10 collisions or torpedo hits. The player starts with 5 ships.
