Sengoku Jidai

Description

Sengoku Jidai is a 2 - 3 player simulation of medieval Japanese warfare in the 16th century for the TI-99/4A.

Played on a map containing a number of castles, the goal is to possess and hold four castles. If this is not accomplished within 30 turns, the player with the most castles is the winner. Each army starts with 100 soldiers, composed of foot soldiers, archers, and samurai. Each turn outside a castle, an army is augmented by up to 3 of each type of soldier, and receives up to 15 of each unit when taking an enemy castle. Units can be set to offensive or defensive mode, and can be positioned in the cardinal directions, which sets a bonus for the attacking player.
