Swamp Monsters

Swamp Monsters is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

An alien swamp is invested with monsters, and the player controls a robot sent in to rid it of the infestation. The player moves across a number of stepping stones, and can pick up or replace the stones in the swamp. The goal is to defeat monsters by causing them to fall into holes.

Stones can be replaced, and some monsters will escape if stones are not quickly replaced on top of them. The robot sinks if it picks up more than two stones at a time or falls in a hole. The player has limited power to complete each level, and moving with stones also drains power. If the player stays in one place too long, they are eaten by a swamp monster. There are three levels of monster difficulty, and white monsters may become swamp monsters if they escape from the sinking swamp.
