Swarmers' Revenge

Swarmers' Revenge is 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

Tasked with protecting a section of the space wall from enemy threat, the player controls a small ship at the bottom of the screen that moves laterally and fires vertically. A large alien vessel drops towards the bottom of the screen, which carries a number of pods that hatch into swarmers.

The player tries to destroy all the swarmers on the screen while avoiding incoming enemy fire and large bombs which endanger a wider swath of the screen. If the player is hit, they lose a life. As enemy fire damages the bottom of the screen, a display bar at the bottom of the screen increases. If this fills the screen, it's instantly game over.
