The Mad Painter
Description
The Mad Painter is a text adventure divided into four parts for the BBC Micro.
As the player tours an old house, the guide mentions that it once belonged to a mad painter who painted pictures which changed mysteriously in the night. One long-ago night, the painter disappeared. Since that time, there have been tales of people vanishing while in the house.
The guide mentions that a chimney sweep and his master once disappeared from the very same fireplace in the room the tour is in now. Intrigued by this, as the tour moves on, the player walks into the fireplace.
The player thus enters a four-part adventure, where they must solve the Mystery of the Mad Painter, meeting many of his victims who disappeared in the house over the last two centuries.
There is a save/restore feature, and each of the four parts have a maximum score. All commands are via VERB NOUN entry.
