Ultron

Ultron is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player is besieged on the planet Ultron by bands of roving aliens. The player is armed with their spaceship and trusty photon gun, and can move laterally and shoot vertically to blast incoming vessels. When the player clears every ship on the screen they advance to a new challenge. Aliens have a variety of movement patterns and firing rates. Every five levels the player encounters an asteroid field that must be avoided. The player has limited energy that is drained by firing and, if this reaches 0, the ship is destroyed. Every fifth level the player further encounters their mothership, which if they safely dock with will recharge their energy. The player starts with a total of three lives.
