Vertex

Description
Vertex is a graphical puzzle game from The New York Times that involves connecting dots in order to form a picture. However, instead of following a sequential string of numbers, players must deduce which dots connect to each other based on the number they display. The number represents the number of connections that particular dot can form; as the dot is connected to more points the number goes down to indicate the number of connections left to make. Once an area is surrounded by lines, it becomes filled in and the dots disappear entirely, indicating the player's success. A phrase at the top of the page (like "What's brewing") offers a clue as to what image the player is trying to make.
The game can be played for free by visitors to the New York Times website, but unlimited access to all of the puzzles requires a specific The New York Times Games subscription, purchased separately from a regular NYT newspaper subscription.
