Voyage in Time

Voyage in Time is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.

The player is catapulted into a world of intergalactic battles with the alien residents of a different time and place. The player controls a small character who can move and fire in eight directions. The goal is to shoot the small stationary aliens while avoiding the moving vortex-like aliens. After all small aliens are destroyed, the player must make contact with the large glowing alien that randomly teleports about the screen. The player has 60 times units to complete each level. The player starts with five lives, and there are three levels of difficulty. The player loses a life if they touch an alien, a tree, or the mountains at the top of the screen.
