Wilfred the Warlock

Wilfred the Warlock is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

Wilfred moves laterally along the bottom of the screen, trying to protect his tower from birds who steal bricks from its walls. The birds fly in from the sides, grab bricks, and then try to fly off the side of the screen. Wilfred shoots vertically from his staff to defeat birds, but must avoid bird droppings. If a bird is carrying a block when hit, the block will stay on screen until the next bird comes. An evil creature moves laterally across the screen from side to side, and Wilfred must turn into a frog to avoid being hit. Wilfred can not fire while in frog mode. It's game over when all bricks are stolen or Wilfred is hit eight times.
