Seasons after Fall

Description
Seasons after Fall is a single-player puzzle-platform game. The story begins when a wild fox becomes host to a wandering spirit, and together they set out across a mystical forest to uncover the secrets of the four seasons. The journey leads the player to ancient guardians who hold the power of winter, spring, summer, and autumn, and the fox must gain these abilities to progress deeper into the wilderness.
The core gameplay revolves around platforming exploration and the ability to shift seasons at will. Players can instantly change the environment from one season to another, altering how the world behaves. In winter, rivers freeze to form walkable paths, while in spring, rainfall raises water levels to reach new areas. Summer makes plants bloom and grow into platforms, and autumn causes leaves and mushrooms to appear for traversal. These transformations serve as the foundation for solving environmental puzzles and unlocking passage through the interconnected forest.
Progression comes from mastering when and where to apply each seasonal change. Puzzles frequently require chaining multiple transformations together, such as freezing water in one season and then raising its level in another, creating platforms that would otherwise be inaccessible. The fox’s agility allows for basic platforming, but advancement depends primarily on manipulating the world’s ecology. There are no enemies to fight, and the experience instead focuses on interacting with the environment and the guardians. Dialogue occurs primarily through narration that guides the player’s understanding of the spirit’s purpose and the cycle of the forest.
