Sir Francis Drake Adventure Game

Sir Francis Drake Adventure Game is a 1-player game for the BBC Micro.

The player tries to sail Sir Francis Drake's ship The Golden Hind during his 1577 voyage to New Albion, and then on past Java. The ship is limited by supplies, crew, and cannon balls. The ship can also accumulate damage during its travels. The ship moves in the cardinal directions, and can encounter rocks and Spanish vessels as it travels. When encountering rocks, the player can choose to anchor with risk of damage to the ship, or throw cargo overboard to escape to safety. Spanish vessels can be attacked or ignored. If successfully attacked the player accumulated cargo. The goal is to pass Java with four times more cargo than the start of the adventure.
