Spaceguard

Spaceguard is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player's spaceship is patrolling a sector of space where aliens are laying mines. The player's task is to destroy the aliens while avoiding collision with them and their mines.

The spaceship can move and fire forwards in eight separate directions. Aliens move about randomly, and release mines. Some alien ships explode when hit, and the explosion can destroy the player's craft. The player starts with three lives, and is awarded an additional ship every 10,000 points.
