Kourtyard
Description
Kourtyard is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro and Electron.
As King Arthur, the player is disturbed to find that a rival clan has invaded their castle and stolen the crown jewels and sword, Excalibur. Devoid of their secret powers, the player disguises themself as Arthur King, foot soldier. Armed only with a bow and arrows, the player must sneak into their castle and regain the crown, maze, diamond, and Excalibur.
The player moves and fires in the cardinal directions from a top-down perspective. Enemy soldiers frequently appear from the edges of the screen. The player must avoid enemy soldiers and dangerous terrain such as pits, spikes, and water. The player can recover health from items on the ground. There are four levels, each containing one item, and after completing a level the player enters a bonus game where they practice their jousting skills trying to hit bags.
