Description

Microzine is an educational disk-based magazine published by Scholastic between 1983 and 1992. Each issue generally contains a simple adventure game, often with a Choose Your Own Adventure Style. Issue no. 27 contains: Letter - Stories from the editor, programmers, and people who have written into Microzine*

  • Constellation Odyssey - A graphic adventure game, one night while stargazing atop Gazer's Knoll in Star City, you notice that all the constellations have changed into shapes you don't recognize, exchanged with items through town. There, you encounter Ursa Minor, who requests your help finding all the lost constellation that have spread out over Star City. The player must explore the locations in town, and retrieve the items needed to return the constellations to Gazer's Knoll. After completing the quest, the player is awarded with the opportunity to name and design their own constellation in the night sky.
  • Rebus Maker - A program to make and solve rebuses (graphical depictions of words or saying).
  • The Learning Machine - The computer attempts to guess what object the player is thinking of, or vice versa, by asking a number of yes or no questions related to sporting equipment. The player can teach the computer more information.
  • Monitor Mystery - The player reads a short vignette and views a picture related to a missing French treasure recently discovered by the adventurer Jacques ToosCoe. They must answer correctly all logic questions from the descriptions.
  • Computer Stuff - Data disk initiation
