Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

Description
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a single-player roguelike horde survival game. The game takes place in the hostile caverns of Hoxxes IV, a planet rich in minerals but infested with deadly creatures. Players take the role of one of the dwarves from the Deep Rock Galactic mining company, sent into procedurally generated caves to gather resources, survive endless swarms, and escape with their lives. Unlike its cooperative predecessor, Deep Rock Galactic, this installment is a solitary mission, with survival depending solely on the player’s ability to endure and adapt in the depths.
Each expedition begins with a chosen class of dwarf, equipped with distinct starting weapons and abilities. The player’s goal is to mine, shoot, and progress through waves of insectoid enemies while collecting minerals that fuel upgrades. Runs continue until the dwarf is overwhelmed or successfully completes the objectives for that dive. The structure blends mining with survival, making every descent a balance between risk and reward.
Gameplay revolves around auto-firing combat combined with directional movement and positioning. Weapons automatically discharge at nearby enemies, but the player must manage dodging, spacing, and navigation to survive increasingly dense swarms. Each class features its own arsenal, such as shotguns, flamethrowers, or rifles, and these can be enhanced with modifiers collected during runs. Progress through the caves introduces tougher foes, environmental hazards, and a need for constant resource gathering.
Progression takes the form of roguelike loops. Minerals gathered during missions are used to unlock permanent upgrades, new weapons, and additional character classes between runs. Within a single dive, temporary upgrades can be selected as the dwarf levels up, granting improvements such as faster firing rates, greater area-of-effect attacks, or defensive buffs. Inventory management is streamlined, focusing on weapon upgrades, perks, and resource accumulation rather than traditional equipment slots.
The caves themselves are destructible and dynamic. Mining for minerals is a core mechanic, allowing the player to carve paths through rock while fighting off waves of glyphids and other creatures. Terrain destruction can provide temporary safe spaces or open routes to escape danger. Enemies spawn in escalating waves, often overwhelming the player with sheer numbers.
