Void/Breaker
Description
Void/Breaker is a single-player first-person shooter with roguelite and environmental destruction mechanics. The player takes control of a lone fighter entering unstable zones known as the Void. These shifting arenas are filled with abstract structures, hostile constructs, and collapsing geometry. The mission is to survive long enough to clear waves of enemies and objectives while using experimental weaponry that can be rebuilt and reshaped in the middle of combat. Each run ends either in success or defeat, after which the cycle begins again with new layouts and challenges.
Combat revolves around a modular firearm that serves as the centerpiece of the gameplay. This weapon can be dismantled and rebuilt with dozens of interchangeable parts, each affecting rate of fire, spread, projectile behavior, and secondary effects. Attachments can add ricochets, explosive shots, homing rounds, or structural-destroying blasts. The weapon system is designed for continuous tinkering, with players able to pause mid-run to swap modules and experiment with new combinations.
The arenas themselves are destructible and unstable. Cover and obstacles can be shattered by enemy attacks or by the player’s own weaponry, changing the battlefield as fights progress. As structures collapse, navigation routes and enemy line-of-sight shift, requiring constant adaptation. Vertical movement, dashes, and jumps combine with the destructible geometry to create a highly mobile style of play.
Progression follows roguelite conventions. Each run begins with a basic loadout and limited resources. As enemies are defeated, the player collects parts, upgrades, and temporary buffs that expand combat options. These enhancements persist only for the duration of a run, but between runs the player can unlock permanent upgrades and additional weapon modules that increase long-term variety.
