Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Himatsubushi-hen
Description
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Himatsubushi-hen is the fourth release in the Higurashi: When They Cry visual novel series. It includes parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the novel: "Onikakushi-hen", "Watanagashi-hen", "Tatarigoroshi-hen" and "Himatsubushi-hen".
It is a simple visual novel without branching paths or choices, where the player simply advances the text to read the story. After finishing each chapter, the player unlocks a number of optional bonus scenes called "TIPS".
The story in "Himatsubushi-hen" takes place several years before the events in the other Higurashi episodes. The protagonist is Mamoru Akasaka, a rookie policeman who is summoned to the remote Japanese village of Hinamizawa to look for a kidnapping victim. However, he might find more secrets and mysteries than he expected.
